چکیده
We prove that the log canonical thresholds of a large class of binomial ideals, such as complete intersection binomial ideals and the defining ideals of space monomial curves, are computable by linear programming.

Log Canonical Threshold, Segre Classes, and Polygamma Functions
We express the Segre class of a monomial scheme in projective space in terms of log canonical thresholds of associated ideals. Explicit instances of the relation amount to identities involving the classical polygamma functions.
متن کاملBinomial Difference Ideals
In this paper, binomial difference ideals are studied. Three canonical representations for Laurent binomial difference ideals are given in terms of the reduced Gröbner basis of Z[x]-lattices, regular and coherent difference ascending chains, and partial characters over Z[x]-lattices, respectively. Criteria for a Laurent binomial difference ideal to be reflexive, prime, well-mixed, and perfect a...
متن کاملComputations of Multiplier Ideals via Bernstein-sato Polynomials
Multiplier ideals are very important in higher dimensional geometry to study the singularities of ideal sheaves. It reflects the singularities of the ideal sheaves and provides strong vanishing theorem called the Kawamata-Viehweg-Nadel vanishing theorem (see [3]). However, the multiplier ideals are defined via a log resolution of the ideal sheaf and divisors on the resolved space, and it is dif...
متن کاملMultiplier Ideals, Milnor Fibers, and Other Singularity
Trivia: in how many different ways can the log canonical threshold of a polynomial be computed? At least six ways in general, plus four more ways with some luck. This richness of approaches reflects the central place that log canonical thresholds and, more generally, multiplier ideals have in singularity theory. Singularity theory is a subject deeply connected with many areas of mathematics and...
متن کاملBrief Guide to Some of the Literature on F-singularities
Many of the tools of higher dimensional complex birational algebraic geometry—including singularities of pairs, multiplier ideals, and log canonical thresholds— have ”characteristic p” analogs arising from ideas in tight closure theory. Tight closure, introduced by Hochster and Huneke in [17], is a closure operation performed on ideals in commutative rings of prime characteristic, and has an in...
